Is it possible to make engineering and technology exciting to a broad audience? Absolutely, if it’s done right.
One example of branded content that succeeds in doing this is Intel’s excellent Meet the Makers YouTube series. The videos features individuals who have come up with innovative solutions to difficult, or sometimes just fun, problems.
One example is Shubham Banerjee, an 8th grader who built a low-cost braille printer using Intel Edison technology to help give over 200 million blind people an affordable way to read.
Check out the episode featuring Banerjee below (it’s already racked up more than 323,000 YouTube views in less than a month), and more Meet the Makers videos here.
