Some 35% of of Fortune 500 companies have a recruiting-specific Twitter handle, which they use to tweet one to three times per day (64%), according to a recent report from Software Advice.

The remaining 65% of companies use their main Twitter account for recruiting efforts.

Job openings make up the largest percentage of these tweets (38%), followed by highlighting specific employees (19%) and sharing information about company events (17%).

Some 58% of white collar job seekers say they have used Twitter as part of their search, though 35% of this group say companies are “somewhat” or “extremely ineffective” at marketing themselves as a great place to work.
